Situated in the beautiful West Coast fishing village of South Africa you will find the St Helena Bay Hotel, only 2 hours drive from Cape Town and the Cape Town International Airport. This is a home away from home with friendly staff. While the hotel projects a relaxed atmosphere, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, kite surfing, fishing, hiking, bird watching and golf, just to name a few.
The Rooms
We offer various types of accommodation, from luxury rooms with attached bathrooms to self catering fisherman's rustic chalets. Our sea-view rooms have beautiful balconies where you can experience the sunrise and sunset over the same bay (only two places in the world)
The Restaurant
The Whale Creek Restaurant seats up to 50 guests and offers lovely views over the bay. Guests can also dine on the outside veranda and enjoy the view. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu with a variety of options. You should however try the chefs famous mussel pot.
The Shipwreck Bar
The Shipwreck bar and also our ladies bar is one of the oldest pubs in St Helena Bay. Fishermen from yesteryear to frequently visit the pub when returning from long fishing trips at sea. Ice cold beers, fantastic cocktails amongst other beverages are available. No children under 18.
The Pool
Our crystal blue swimming pool is situated on the roof deck and offers lovely views of the ocean. Laze in the sun on our loungers and enjoy one of our many cocktails on offer. Please ensure you bring your own swimming towels as these are not supplied by the hotel.
Function venue
The function venue can seat up to 200 people and has its own kitchen and bar facilities. It is ideal for wedding receptions, 21st birthday parties or any other function. Allow us to assist in planning your next event. We can design menus around your requirements as well as assist with the decor.
